Penny- a Waldorf inspired doll

Introducing Penny, a Waldorf inspired doll by Glimmer Row. 

Penny is a Waldorf inspired art doll intended for an adult, standing at approximately 20" tall. Her body, face, hands and feet are a needle felted sculpture, made from 100% wool batting. Arms and legs are stuffed firmly with 100% wool batting as well. She has floppy limbs making her extra huggable! With a little balancing you can stand her up unassisted, and she can sit unassisted. Her wool body is covered with a cotton jersey fabric. Tiny stitches secure her arms, legs and neck to her torso. Pennys green eyes are hand embroidered with cotton floss. Color has been added to her skin with beeswax crayon. Her hair is made from dyed sheep curls. I have sewn the locks into a weft which is then crocheted into a mohair cap and securely stitched in place. Penny's details include features such as a sculpted smile, little round nose, ears, a belly button and a cute little bum! 

Penny will arrive dressed in avocado 100% linen overalls. This garment is made from my own pattern created specifically for this doll. Functional pockets are finished with cotton embroidery accents. Her overall straps are secured in place with little wooden buttons, also made by my hands. Her outfit is finished off with a white short sleeved tee, sneakers, and a blue sweater with tiny snap closures. These three items were purchased for her from Etsy. Please take extra care with items that have Velcro closures, being sure to not snag fabric with the scratchy side! Lastly, Penny has a pair of knit cotton undies, and an adorable floral headband.
